You know those days? Those ones where one child is sick and needs you by their side with a tender hand, while the other is inexblicably clingy and is glued to your other side? Those days that you just accept that a shower is never going to happen, so you hide your hair under a hat and move on? Where the sun is finally shining outside, but your kiddo is too sick to let her enjoy it?
You know the days AFTER those days?
Where everyone is better, but still senitive. Where the snshine is again hidden behind cold, winter clouds. Where one child is still super clingy you can't move without dragging her behind you, clutching your leg and screaming in protest. And the other, bless her heart, is so bored out of her mind and itching to be free from sickness and winter, but she is still stuck at the edge of both things.
Then your micriwave breaks.
You reheat your coffee on the stove and boil it beyond recognition.
You can't find the statement for that bill you HAVE to pay today.
Your house is still under construction, and you're not complaining because your husband is working so hard to finish and you know it's just a matter of patience for the both of you.
Because of the construction, your house is helplessly dirty. For real dirty. As in DIRT is tracked everywhere no matter how much you mop/dust/sweep clean. You just have to except it.
Ever have a day like that? Or a day after like that?
Yeah...me neither.
Fortunately, on days like this, all the things that go wrong turn funny. And then your sweet girls bring you a plastic bacon sandwish with pink tea and you realize you'd rather have a day like this at home than a good day out in the world any day.
